Mrs. Rodriguez's First Grade Class Blog

Rice Lake Elementary

We are the pledge leaders on RLTV this week. Celina, Josh, and Gabby did a great job!

We had a fun time with our greeting today. It was the snowball greeting. We each wrote our name on a piece of paper, crumpled it up, and threw it around like a snowball. We then opened it up and greeted the person whose name was on the paper.

We played categories during morning meeting also. It was so fun to see the first graders work together.

We used the Kahoot app to review for our math test we will take tomorrow. I think the kids are ready! We all need to slow down and make sure to look at the signs when solving equations. Sometimes the first grader add when they are supposed to subtract and the other way around.

Mrs. Haynes came and taught us a lesson about metaphors.
