Life Cycles and More!

on October 7, 2015

The first graders have loved being scientists. We have been busy learning about and observing life cycles. During our read aloud we read 2 non-fiction books that helped us learn more about the life cycles of insects.

We are recording our observations on a chart. We will record life cycles that we read about and observe in real life.

Guided reading groups are up and running! We are reading non-fiction books about living things in our groups. Look not only at how hard my reading group is working, but also the students working hard and independently in the background.

We made some more observations of our mealworms. Some are even in the pupa stage. So exciting!

Our caterpillars are getting bigger also!

We had our vision and hearing checked today. You will be notified if you should follow up with your doctor.
