Mrs. Paton, Gingerbread Men, Sequencing, Writing, and Teen Numbers

Yesterday Mrs. Paton came to teach a lesson on feelings. The students were given a scenario and had to show what feeling they would have,

We learned that the tradition of gingerbread came from Germany. We are making our own paper gingerbread men!

In reading we are practicing the comprehension skill of sequencing. When we sequence we retell the story in order. We retold the story “The Gingerbread Girl” by using pictures.

In writer’s workshop we are learning how to make our writing more interesting.

In math we are learning how to represent teen numbers with ten-sticks and circles.
