Wonderful Wednesday

on March 6, 2013

Today was a great, but busy day. We had a lot to do with our unexpected snow day yesterday.
We practiced asking and answering questions while reading Bartholomew and the Oobleck.

Before reading we wondered what Oobleck was, where did it come from, and why was it on the boy’s head. We were able to answer all these questions while reading the book.
In science we started our solids and liquids unit by exploring Oobleck. We observed that Oobleck acts both as a solid and a liquid. It was messy, but fun!

I also need to mention how wonderful our class is. They did an excellent job cleaning our room after our Oobleck experiment.

In Writer’s Workshop we selected one topic for our “How-To” books. We created a circle map to brainstorm all the possible things and steps we need to in order to write a book about t

We also worked with a partner to help us think of more

It was another good day in B3!
One more thing, we are still looking for volunteers for our book fair. If you are interested in helping, please contact our volunteer coordinator, Mary Bodensteiner.
