Mystery reader, fancy copy, and more!

on December 12, 2012

Today we…

  • Had a mystery reader.  It was Bella’s grandma.  She read us the book Going on a Bear Hunt.  We really enjoyed reading along with the book.

  • In Writer’s Workshop we learned how to take our edited version of our writing and turn it into a fancy copy.  We learned that we have to write neatly and fix our mistakes.  They will all be ready for parents to read at our fancy copy/gingerbread house decorating on Friday, December 21 from 1:00-2:00.
  • In math we practiced adding a double-digit number with a single-digit number.  We also worked on solving groups of 10 story problems.
  • We started to add decorations to our gingerbread men.  We also learned that gingerbread men houses started in Germany.  We learned about some of the customs that Germany has to celebrate Christmas.

Have a wonderful night! 🙂
