Rice Lake Elementary

Creative Kids!

on October 28, 2011

Today was a fun and busy day!  We read a fantasy and non-fiction book about pumpkins.  We found things that were the same about both stories.  We had a lesson from Mrs. Paton.  She taught us how to be assertive when we need help or don’t know how to do something.  Each class is also given a job from the PTO to name the Rice Lake Roadrunner.  We discussed many names and after lots of votes we came up with 2 names: Randy Roadrunner and Rocksmasher Roadrunner.  We will see if either of our names win!  Lastly, we got to decorate pumpkins!  Thank you to Sloane’s family who not only donated the pumpkins, but also donated fun stickers, and activity pad, and yummy treats!  We had a lot of fun!  Here are some pictures!
